Smith’s 27 not enough for Elizabeth in loss to Widefield

The Widefield Gladiators beat the Elizabeth Cardinals by a score of 54-48 on Friday.

Widefield was lead in scoring by Randall Days who put up 19 points while also recording nine rebounds and four assists. Donte Scott and Tim Mewborn also had solid games contributing 15 points and 12 points, respectively.

Elizabeth was paced in scoring by Tristan Smith who put up 27 points, while also collecting nine rebounds and one assist. Tyson Griffin helped by chipping in eight points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Widefield hosting The Classical Academy and Elizabeth taking on The Classical Academy.
