Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday comfortably won his home state of Delaware, according to projections.
Biden was a US senator for Delaware from 1973 to 2009 and spent most of the 2020 campaign at home in Wilmington as he traveled little, citing the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Trump often mocked the former vice president for remaining in his basement rather than waging a traditional campaign.
Fox News and the Associated Press called the state for Biden moments after polls closed at 8 p.m.
Delaware generally votes for Democrats in presidential elections. Hillary Clinton won the state by more than 11 percentage points in 2016.
