Chris Wilder’s side will be eager for points and – in what’s been a tricky term for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team – the Blades manager will have hope for an upset. Fulham and West Brom achieved respective draws versus Liverpool and Man City this week, which will give Sheffield belief.
Man United, meanwhile, will see the points dropped by Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham this week as an opportunity to narrow the gap to those clubs. Solskjaer’s men also have a game in hand over each side above them in the table – and two over Chelsea – so a win here would actually put them right in the mix around the top.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
The match will kick off at 8pm BST.
It will be streamed live on Amazon Prime.
Sheffield United’s Jack O’Connell is still a way off returning from injury, and a shoulder issue is expected to keep out Oli McBurnie. Kean Bryan could also miss out due to injury.
Sheffield United: Ramsdale; Basham, Egan, Stevens; Baldock, Berge, Ampadu, Fleck, Lowe; Mousset, Burke
Man United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; McTominay, Fred; Mata, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
The teams in a relegation battle have managed to scrape some points this week, so there is reason to believe Sheffield can here. But the safer bet is Man United to get it done – not easily, mind you. Sheffield United 1-2 Man United.
