The holiday season has been bringing us so many surprises as Christmas is already a WEEK away!
However, we’re putting down our gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate because another quick-service spot in the Magic Kingdom has reopened to guests today! Tomorrowland Terrace has been closed since Disney World shut its gates at the beginning of the year. However, now the restaurant will be welcoming guests back again today with a little bit of a twist.
Instead of the burgers and chicken tenders we’ve previously seen at the Tomorrowland Terrace, the quick-service location has a menu that looks a LOT like the offerings at the Columbia Harbour House!
The restaurant is now serving up combo platters with chicken, fish, and shrimp, as well as the Columbia Harbour House’s famous Lobster Rolls!
We chose the Trio Platter with hush puppies, fried shrimp, and fish. We also got the classic Lobster Roll. Added bonus: We opted for the Minnie Mouse Lava Cookie for dessert.
The food was enough to feed a small army! We got a big portion of the fish, shrimp, hush puppies, and fries. And just look at those lush green lettuce leaves on the Lobster Roll!
As a reminder, guests are highly encouraged to use Mobile Order when purchasing food at a quick-service location. There was one cash register open if you were experiencing issues with the My Disney Experience app or have multiple allergies. Guests with cash were asked to head to Guest Relations and exchange it for a Disney gift card.
Once our order was ready, we headed to our designated pick-up station to grab our food.
Condiments were at a self-serve counter for guest use.
The restaurant is keeping diners separate from guests visiting the designated Relaxation Stations. The Relaxation Station is meant for guests who wish to remove their masks for a break. This dining area at Tomorrowland Terrace has been used as a station since the park reopened.
The two remaining dining areas are open for guests to eat at the quick-service location. The tables are spaced out to create physical distancing.
All seating is outdoors at Tomorrowland Terrace. Some tables are covered and others are open-air. You a great view of the castle when you sit in the uncovered area!
Our hearts (and stomachs) are so happy to head back to the newly reopened restaurants throughout Disney World! And, we’ll be sure to give you a look at our upcoming dining experiences as we return to the parks and resorts soon!
