Manchester police seek missing couple with memory issues

MANCHESTER – Township Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing couple who were last seen in Whiting on Sunday morning.

George Barnes and Claire Barnes were last seen around 7 a.m. Sunday morning near Mill Road in the Whiting section of the township, police said in a Facebook post. They were in a green 2010 Mercury Milan, with a New Jersey license plate JAG62G, according to authorities. 

“George has been diagnosed with early onset of dementia and Claire suffers from an undiagnosed memory issue,” police said in the post. “They do not have their cell phones and attempts to make contact with them have been unsuccessful. The couple likes to frequent CVS, Rite Aid, Stop & Shop, as well as ShopRite, all in Manchester.”

Manchester police are looking for Claire Barnes (pictured on the left)) and George Barnes (pictured on the right)), who went missing on Sunday, June 6.

The couple may also be in Staten Island, where they used to live and have recently talked about returning.
